Hi, I’m Peggy Staver
Before becoming a freelance content writer and marketer, I spent 15 years writing technical documents and customer-focused letters for the financial services industry.
I worked closely with business users requesting changes to their software applications. The process of reviewing what was happening now and what they wanted to happen involved asking a lot of questions to determine the Why behind their request.
After gathering the requirements, I wrote the specs – a document clearly stating their problem and the expected results in the language the user and programmer would understand. This is the same process I use when starting a new client’s project.
We will meet to gather the requirements for your project and the results you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll identify your target audience to determine their wants and needs, setting the goals for your content.
Content Goals
Different types of content can have different goals.
- SEO articles and blog posts targeting your ideal customer can increase traffic to your site. Consistently sharing helpful and attention-grabbing information with your audience can build loyalty.
- Build a loyal customer base with e-newsletters sharing updates and deals. Include specials for subscribers only.
- Highlight your customer success stories with case studies that take your reader on a journey with happy customers. Stories that show how you solved their problems and helped their customers.
When creative storytelling is combined with target audience research, your website’s content will engage your readers in your story. This engagement connects with your potential customers, donors, and volunteers.

My Services:
Website Audit
Website audits include a comprehensive review of your website’s content, pages, and navigation. Your site should be mobile-friendly, up-to-date, and easy to navigate.
During the review, I will check for SEO (search engine optimized) and conversion content to be sure your target prospects can find your site and they are guided to take a specific action. I will also verify that your business is represented correctly on Google Maps and search engines.
Blog Posts and Articles
Blog posts and articles can convey your core values and goals in an informative and conversational format. Consistent posting can build relationships with your readers. Your stories bring insights to current and prospective customers, members, volunteers, and donors. Your blog is a place where your prospect gets to know you and where you can make community connections.
E-Newsletters
E-Newsletters are great for consistent connections with your customers, members, donors, and volunteers. Newsletters provide helpful articles and tips about your products and services. Exclusive deals and announcements for your subscribers make them a part of your inner circle. Choose monthly or weekly to share current events and messages.
Case Studies
Case studies convert interested readers into clients, donors, and volunteers by highlighting your organization’s successes through real-life examples. More in-depth than a blog post, the case study shows the effectiveness of your product and services. These detailed before and after stories highlight the changes your customers have experienced through your business.
My clients are small businesses, RV parks and resorts, and non-profits.

A Little More Personal
After traveling full-time in an RV for five years, my husband and I recently settled in a small Kansas City, Missouri suburb. We loved our life on the road and are still in contact with the friends and clients we met.
